On the Consistency of Local and Global Versions of Chang’s Conjecture

چکیده
We show that for many pairs of infinite cardinals κ > μ+ > μ, (κ+, κ) (μ+, μ) is consistent relative to the consistency of a supercompact cardinal. We also show that it is consistent, relative to a huge cardinal that (κ+, κ) (μ+, μ) for every successor cardinal κ and every μ < κ, answering a question of Foreman.

Chang's Conjecture and weak square
We investigate how weak square principles are denied by Chang’s Conjecture and its generalizations. Among other things we prove that Chang’s Conjecture does not imply the failure of ω1,2, i.e. Chang’s Conjecture is consistent with ω1,2.
متن کاملChang’s Conjecture May Fail at Supercompact Cardinals
We prove a revised version of Laver’s indestructibility theorem which slightly improves over the classical result. An application yields the consistency of (κ, κ) ։/ (א1,א0) when κ is supercompact. The actual proofs show that ω1-regressive Kurepatrees are consistent above a supercompact cardinal even though MM destroys them on all regular cardinals. This rather paradoxical fact contradicts the ...
متن کاملThe Auslander-Reiten Conjecture for Group Rings
This paper studies the vanishing of $Ext$ modules over group rings. Let $R$ be a commutative noetherian ring and $ga$ a group. We provide a criterion under which the vanishing of self extensions of a finitely generated $Rga$-module $M$ forces it to be projective. Using this result, it is shown that $Rga$ satisfies the Auslander-Reiten conjecture, whenever $R$ has finite global dimension and $ga...
متن کاملON THE VANISHING OF DERIVED LOCAL HOMOLOGY MODULES
Let $R$ be a commutative Noetherian ring, $fa$ anideal of $R$ and $mathcal{D}(R)$ denote the derived category of$R$-modules. For any homologically bounded complex $X$, we conjecture that$sup {bf L}Lambda^{fa}(X)leq$ mag$_RX$. We prove thisin several cases. This generalize the main result of Hatamkhani and Divaani-Aazar cite{HD} for complexes.
متن کاملThe Adaptation and Experience of Four Shoulder Patient–Centered Outcome Scores
Objective: The aim of this study was to achieve a reliable tool for measuring health related quality of life among Iranians with shoulder pain and disability. Materials & Methods: Through a non-experimental methodology study, four shoulder patient-centered outcome scores were translated and adapted culturally to Persian language. A total of 126 male and female patients with shoulder pain and...
